Fresh Water Project (2011):

The following assessment was performed by the CEOS Systems Engineering Office (SEO) to support the ISU 2011 Fresh Water Project. Space-based measurements were identified in 3 categories to be linked to CEOS missions and potential science data.

(1) Fresh Water Quantity

Monitor the quantity of fresh water through the use of land imagery data, topographical (land or bathymetry) data, gravity gradiants and microwave altimetry.

Monitor fresh water dynamics due to precipitatio and soil moisture. Monitor overall lad and water surface temperatures to support drought forecasrs.
